What redundancy exists in the LiveVault infrastructure?

There is tremendous redundancy and fault tolerance in all aspects of LiveVault InSync.

  1. All customer data exists on at least two autonomous vaults, in addition to an appliance (for customers using the TurboRestore appliance)
  2. There are redundant bandwidth carriers to the secure vaulting facility.
  3. The Service Operations Center is entirely virtual (web-based). It can be run securely from anywhere on the web and we maintain a secondary command and control center.
  4. The web and SQL components of the service are all run on clustered and fault tolerant hardware. Many of these systems feature complete redundancy.
  5. All LiveVault systems use hardware with redundant and fault tolerant systems (like RAID, redundant power supplies, etc).
  6. The secure IBM data center has redundant power sources and HVAC systems.
